Throughout the history of the North American Water Office we have addressed the problem of methyl mercury in fish.  Mercury is a deadly toxicant from coal and oil  that we burn for energy.  We wrote Sacred Water/Water for Life over seven years ago to document the disproportionate damage inflicted on those who rely on fish for protein.1,000 buyers of the Anishinaabe version and we have sold out!  Help us reprint.   We also now have an entire new “Book” to write, the Dakota version of Sacred Water. All the interviews of our selection of Dakota Elders are ready to go.  We put into action our philosophy and values.  We replant the wild fruit trees and berries so essential for Indigenous health and knowledge.  We take on the corporations and the government with research, oral and written testimony and what we call total tactic.
